A Day at the Great Allentown Fair

Spent the day at the Great Allentown Fair. Its one of the oldest fairs in the US – the first year it was held was in 1985.

Allentown is about 1:15 hour drive north-east from New Holland.

Free admission to the fairgrounds from 12 – 2pm so we took advantage of that. Wrist bands for each of the kids for all mechanical rides were a hefty $25 USD, but the kids definitely got our money’s worth.

The place was pretty big. Tons of food vendors as you’d expect. We brought in our own lunch but ate dinner at the fair. I tried some tasty Jamaican jerk chicken, others had some gyros and fries.

Don’t know what Taylor is doing here, but I guess it’s ok?

Abby even met a new friend on one of the rides.

Bruno’s Tiger Show

Meet Dennis, the dad extraordinaire! Armed with dad jokes sharper than a pencil and a knack for fixing everything with duct tape, Dennis is the hero of household mishaps and master of "dad bod" fashion.
